Alcohol injection?

Has anyone here installed the Snow Performance alcohol injection kit on their truck? I have an opportunity to buy a never-used kit for cheap. My buddy bought it for his Dakota R/T (w/ Kenne Bell s/c) but sold the truck and has no use for it now.

Just wondering if anybody has any feedback or opinions about using alcohol injection... please let me know

Hey, bud I tried to post about the same topic about a month ago. I figured it would be a good mod at first because my friend had great results with alc/meth injection on his turboed camaro, but apparently the alcohol or methanol stripps the teflon offf the blower rotors. So for our trucks all the the responses I got said it was a bad idea. Guess thats just my 2 cents! good Luck!

I used water/alky injection for years on my Grand Prix. My rotors were fine when I the blower for a port job. I used the blue windshield wiper stuff. It was a great mix of alky and water. I dont buy the teflon coating thing. I use alcohol in my cooking a lot and my teflon cookware isnt ruined. I've seen flaked rotors that never saw any injection. I'd be curious to see how propane injection worked on our trucks.

I'm not sure if it would damage the teflon or not... sure would hate to be the guinnie pig If i did, where would i locate the spray nozzle? I might buy it anyway (because it's cheap)and decide wheather to install it or not later on. I've spent $100 worse ways (ex. strip clubs, bad dates, hell... one time a homeless midget approached me on the street and said i could kick him in the *** for $20. 5 kicks = $100!)

I installed alk. injection on my powerdyne supercharged F150, it made a differance in performance until I got a custom tune, after the tune the differance can hardly be measured in ets I guess it was just a bandaid fix for the stock set up.

I used to use an aquatune system from England. They make OEM kits for some european rides. It tied into my car to fire with injector pulses at XX boost. It was a neat kit. I believe the best kit would be to shoot it after the blower to cool the charge rather than before the charge.
