"installing Pyrometer In Manifold

"??? Are they any certain place that need to be tapped or drilled are they already a place to screw the pyrometer probe into the manifold area ?? thanks

you have to drill and tap it. if oyu have longtube headers, you will need to weld a bung to it.

A buddy of mine tried that; it didn't work. Basically it is measuring heat. Well; the manifold radiates heat, and screws up the readings.

HI!... If your talking about installing a EGT (exhaust gas temp) sensor, then make sure you install it on the #5 cylinder. That would be the driver's side front cylinder. It is known as running the leanest of the 8 cylinders.

What is the correct way to drill into the manafold down through from the top or from the side toward the cylender head?
