pro-lightning at world ford challenge and truck and lightning in nmra just can't qualify any faster than 9.10

or they could run in the new new vortech sponsored outlaw class in nmra

Thanx 9 sec gen 1!...This year should be Unbelievable! for the gen 2's.. 32V 3.3 WSC on stock suspension, turbo's on stock suspension,2 valve 2.3 KB with a 4-link suspension.and on and on we go! Won't be long and we'll ALL get to see what the different approaches/Combo's will produce! its going to be fun none the less! Did you say 8's side by side? That would be Awsome! No offense, but what is the need for the wheelie bar?? You guys hardly pull the wheels now, I doubt that the trucks will be flipping over backwards anytime soon.

Hell, NMRA pure street cars don't even have bars. And Burcham is cutting 1.3's in real street in alot less weight and his car isn't in need of a bar, so I guess I'm wondering is it useful or are you just trying to look cool?? Seems like Race Rice to me.

They could be on there for various reasons, I'll list a few:

1. Appearance. Just like the ground effects kit on the Lightning, simply appearance. The Lightning would be just as fast without it.

2. Just because he feels like it.

3. Some extra change in his pocket.

4. Maybe the suspension will be tuned to use the wheelie bars. You can ride a wheelie in a Geo Metro if the suspension is built to do so. It sure would put on a cool show.

5. The same reason you bought your Lightning, simply because you want to. There are some that think a fast truck is a dumb idea...a truck is for work, that's why there's a big bed back there. I obviously don't feel that way because I like going fast in big trucks.

They are an integral part of the suspension.
