Lowered my 04, does the front look right?

I lowered my 04 a few days ago, and love the way the back sits, but I'm not happy with the front. I went with the FRPP 1" drop coils in the front, and the Hotchkis 2.5" Drop Leaf Springs in the rear. Should my front be sitting lower with the drop springs?

Before

After

Thanks

John

I have it too. It does'nt look like it dropped much.. but park next to a stock one and you'll see the diff. (dropped about 0.75" on mine)

Pic on my site.. but my tires are 31" tall.

Maybe it's because the rear is sitting so low now. How could I go about dropping the front a little bit more to level the truck out?

KB ZILLA, the lugs are already back on, I just rolled it out to take the pictures then rolled it back in the garage and put the lugs back on, but that's for the heads up!

john, no offense that looks terrible, the back sits awesome! You went wiht a really good rear set up, but you didnt match it with the front properly

I beleive the correct set up wit hthe FRPP springs is to only use a 2" shackle, instead you have the hotchkis which is lower than the front

You are going to have to get 2" drop springs for the front! no question about it

or (god forbid) cut 3/4 of a coil, maybe even 1 full coil

this is how my truck sits with a 3" drop coil in the fron and some work on the rear

the back is just slightly higher

From what I was told, the 2 inch coils will only drop the L's 1" because they are already lower from the factory. So I guess if I bought a 3" coil it would put me right where I want to be.

Thanks!

First, from your pictures it is hard to tell how much weight you have in the very back of your Lightning. I can see a seat, which I don’t know how much that weighs, but it will make the rear sit a bit lower and since it is in the very back it “might” be rising the front a bit as well.

Is there anything else in the back besides the seat? I would take everything out of the back and then take another picture.

John- Are you running the FRPP shackles with your Hotchkis leafs?

You'll want to consider getting some so-cal shock extendors for the rear, as you probably don't have much shock travel left.

Consider cutting 1 1/4 coils off of the stock springs and reinstall. This will bring the front down level and drive and ride better than the FRPP.

You will have to get Bell Tech 4804 coils. This will take care of your front.
Ground force springs are junk. I will never use there products again.

John the front end will settle about 1/2 inch after you drive it a little

Let us know how it sits after a few miles.

You can allways get a set of enery suspension coil spring isolators if you want to lower the front a little more

I used Energy Suspension coil spring isolators, it will drop you a little more up front. Part number 9.6101G Compare the stock to the energy supension isolators and you will know what I am talking about. Also, consider changing your endlinks. I went with energy suspension. My ride did not change at all compared to stock.
