engine missing (shutting down) under load,, any ideas??

Hey guys, need some help. I have a stock 01 L with 26000km on it. I've driven it a bit this winter and its developed a shutter like its shutting down cylinders when its put under load or starts to build boost. Boost bypass valve?? The gauge only gets to about 4psi or so, then it won't take it and starts missing with a consistant miss (its not erratic). I thought it might have been fuel or the colder air. Any help would be great!

You might try changing the fuel filter. Mine had similar symptoms with a dirty filter - I thought a blew my motor the first (and only) time I felt it. Rob_02 recommended a filter & it worked for me.

It's not the boost by pass. Anything causing a stumble under boost would either be fuel related or electronic.

I'd suspect the fuel myself. And I'd first suspect water in the fuel.

Add some gas dry, change the filter, run the gas nearly out then refill at a different station.

Ya I agree
Either fuel proble, or a bad coil pack

since it is a 01 I am thinking coil pack
