Unhappy nickel and diming

Any one else get the feeling that their truck is nickel and diming them to death, mine has 70 k on the od, and in the past year i have had the door lock motor on the drivers side go bad, windshield washer motor go bad, headlight bulbs go out about once every year and a half( but thats may be normal) the pinion bearing is bad, tie rod ends need replaced, need new spark plugs cus the 90 dollar densos are fowled after a year. my new bassani exhaust is pitted and rusted from only one snow so now i got to get that re polished, yesterday i had the 7th and hopefully final transmission replaced( i know im only the second guy to have that many trannys done so its a fluke) granted with the exception of the tranny these things arent really that bad but man theyre hurting my pocket. Thanks for letting me vent guy's i feel better now.

86,000 miles

Replaced the IAC about four years ago.
New tires a couple of years ago.
Front brakes last year.

I haven't had a single bulb go out on the truck in six years.
I may get rid of the orginal battery next year just on general principles.

All stock. I wonder if you have some electrical issue that would shorten your headlight life like that. Doesn't sound normal to me.

Mods/ repair or normal upkeep cost .. the point is having a performance vehicle weather you drive it every day, race it or just take it out on weekends … it is not cheap
I’m lucky … don’t have to drive my L every day .. glad you vented and feel better .. GOOD LUCK

Show-Off .. If I did not like to show off every now and than .. I would drive a Honda

well you missed the point, i have many other mods , i didnt list then because they have nothing to do with "nickel and diming" basic up keep ok or some things just go for no reason, like the door lock and the washer motor hell i rarely use that, and you just picked the wrong thread to show off in cus i could give a lesser s**T what you have spent you money on you didnt repalce 1/8 th of that stuff becuse you had to. and that is what this whole thread was started for " just in case there is any misunderstanding"

It sounds like a lot of the stuff you're having go bad is relatively normal during the life of a car, it just happens to be hitting you all at the same time! We've all been there.

Yeah, sorry I missed the part about the 7 trannys! I've had periods where everything went wrong on other cars, and it's frustrating.
