Thanks for letting me vent guy's i feel better now.

Besides that, what else went wrong this year?? My IAC valve went, my o2 sensors went, somehow back and forth between the body shop and wherever I noticed one of my traction bars were bent... had to dish out the few hundred for new ones. Someone (I won't mention names) swiped the side of a building with my truck... had to have my front bumper repainted, right after it was painted from my accident... thought they did an alright job painting it, but now there is a part of it that is peeling and cracked. As if I wasn't pissed off enough yesterday finding out the body shop didn't even touch my truck for the whole week that it sat there (yet it was supposed to be done yesterday), I walked outside this morning to find out someone thought it would be nice to key the side of my truck.
So just when you think things cannot get any worse, they always can.
I can't wait to get this truck fixed and get it out of my sight... because I am done. Time to move on and get something better.
wow
Aside from the 206 transmissions, I'd say your doing quite well for a vehicle with 70k miles. All stuff that wears. Nothing last forever.
I went through invoices last week. I save slips for every maintenence or mod.
Low 12 second truck with just bolts ons. 2000 model with 21k miles.
Over 10g's !!!!!!
I was just thinking how i would be perfectly happy with a stock lightning and 10k in the bank,

7 transmission repairs/replacements>??? That isn't a fluke, there is a damn problem somewhere!!! I would seriously look into the cooling system, if it all checks out, find a new builder!!! If I had to do a vehicle over 7 times I wouldn't be in business!!! I understand there are the VERY FEW that may comeback once for a small complaint but, 7 major ones!!! WoW. -Mat-

Is the 70K on the OD the FIRST time, and if so, your truck is just getting broke in good.
What year, 2000 I believe, what motor/tranny, etc? From the options you mention it appears to not be even a base model truck. I know this is an L thread, but you do not say that it is an L.
SEVEN transmissions indicates to me that someone, somewhere, does not know what the frick they are doing, or they would have resolved the problem by now.
On the gear selections - "P" does not stand for "Pass", nor does "R" designate "Race", "N" does not mean noisy...LOL.
I've got 200,000 + miles on my 1997 4.6, and I can't even begin to kill the sucker. BEST TRUCK I HAVE EVER OWNED!!!!!!!!!!!! I have had other Fords - 2 other F150's, two Explorer's, 5.4(2), 5.0(2), and this 4.6, even a Bronco II V6 back in 1987. NOTHING I have ever owned has lasted and withstood like this F150.
You have replaced stuff in 70K that I haven't had fail in 200K, like most of the stuff you mention. My front suspension still needs nothing, and the truck runs and drives out as good as the day I got it.
Maybe you need to find a new mechanic.
Hang around here and we all learn a LOT about our F150's together! Good luck resolving your problems with your truck!
