My truck looks exactly like yours, John. I have to go sign some paperwork tomorrow, so I will take some pics. My estimate was $4867.xx, and I can't get over that compared to yours. BUT I'm sure the estimate is open-ended. The guy I was talking to said it would be 2-3 weeks, but not to put it in stone.

I'll let you guys know what they say tomorrow. Thanks again.

Sorry to hear about your misfortune, but as others have said, it's more important that you're safe. If your estimate is only $4800.00 I would have to think that the damage is mostly superficial and no frame damage. $5000.00 doesn't buy you much more than a few bolt ons and a front clip painted. Good luck on getting your truck repaired, as it sounds like they should be able to put it back together as good as new.

PS- Thanks for providing the service overseas for us Americans at home.

Oh man that stinks!

At least the ford did it's job in protecting you.

It'll turn out alright.

i ran smack into a tree in my '04 L. first estimate was around $14k to fix. then they found out that the frame was damaged beyond repair so they gave a new estimate of about $20k. the insurance company says that they will fix it because the value of the truck is so high, so you should be alright.

007IGHTNING, in your thread you said you threw up after climbing out of the windows. was that because of the airbags? man, i was choking to death after those things went off. toxic.

Hey guys, here are the pics I took today at the dealer. Luckily, the airbags didn't deploy. When I wrecked my dad's old f-150, I could smell that stuff on me for two days.

sorry to hear man,.

the way you described it in your initial post i thought this pathfinder nailed u going at least 50 and really messed up your truck, but that does not look too bad now after seeing the pictures, i highly doubt they will total that out unless there is significant damage under the hood. best of luck.

OK guys, about my original post... sorry if I overreacted a little bit, but I was very traumatized.

It isn't really in danger of being totaled out. When it happened, all I could think about was frame damage. I just hope they can fix it to "like-new" condition.
