Cold temperature questions

I've read a few posts about there being a concern with driving the "L" in severe cold. Temps locally have been in the low teens lately and I was wondering what the deal was. I drive my lightning everyday, rain or shine, cold or hot. Is this something I need to be worried about?

I would be concerned if your Lightning has an upgraded pulley and chip. The cold air is denser and adding these mods without more fuel will cause your vehicle to lean out. On a supercharged vehicle this = DISASTER!

If it is extremely cold out like in the teens staying out of the boost will keep you safe. I don’t think stock Lightning’s have anything to worry about but if you want to play it safe just don’t get into the boost as normal driving shouldn’t be any concern.

With the exception of a chip installed by p.o. I have no engine mods.
Thanks for the quick replies.

Hey Greg! Welcome to the board. I'm just north of you in Clevenland. Just a warning, if you stay here long the mod bug will bite you.
