Chip Reburn for altitude...

I am moving from sea level to 5000 ft. Do I need a chip reburn or will the MAP compensate for the change in altitude.

Are you modded? If so I would suggest a re-burn, if not you will be fine, just slower.
I am at around 5000 feet also here in Albuquerque. You moving here?

Yeah, I was stationed there 3 years ago and now I coming back. I am modded. I should put the stuff in my sig. I had another guy on NLOC tell me it was no big deal....I love getting both answers...I would think I wouldn't need it because the original code is designed to go up and down in altitude...I would think the same would apply to the modifications, but I don't want to toast my engine over something stupid like a reburn. My L has sat in the garage for 3 years here in England... I can't wait to start driving it again.

Hey, if it's got a chip set for low altitude then it should be safe up here, just not optimized for this elevation. In other words it will prob run a bit rich.

As for us up here with high elevation tunes then a trip to sea level might cause a prob.

Oh when are you due back in Abq? We have a very active local group of L owners here. We can be found here.
