Bro
I put mine through A LOT
A lot of Boost, A lot of Nitrous, A lot of racing, A lot of WOT.
I have low miles @ 13K but they're hard miles
(I wouldn't lose sleep over it)
But to answer your question, there's some post around where people ask what Rod or Bearing went bad on your L, and it CLEARLY POINTS TO #7+8 (#7 being the worse it seems)
Sorry the search is broke right now or i'd find a few for you.
But in one particular I remember a few weeks back, some Brothers explained the problem and it appears there is a def oil delivery problem with journal #7 and the way it delievers oil to the bearing, (OR LACK OF IT I SHOULD SAY)
All the other Bearings were PERFECT, all the Rods, Pistons, Rings, Cylinder Walls were perfect as well, (thats why I see this as expected damage from known problem area's). I was going to take them home last night with me and post pictures, but they were all greasy and I stopped there unexpected and was in a hurry. I'll grab them next time and post some pic's.

SAE 5W-20 Premium Synthetic Blend Motor Oil

Introducing Motorcraft® 5W-20, the motor oil that’s better for new Ford, Lincoln and Mercury vehicles and less harmful to the environment. Designed, engineered and recommended by Ford Motor Company, it delivers performance comparable to our Motorcraft® full synthetic at both very high and very low operating temperatures and pollutes less.
Designed, engineered and recommended by Ford Motor Company
Motorcraft® 5W-20 motor oil dramatically outperforms and outprotects conventional motor oils. It meets the stringent WSS-M2C153-H Ford Motor Company specification to give the balance of engine durability and performance and to maximize fuel economy while reducing emissions. Due to its low volatility, low oil consumption is maintained. What this means for the environment is a motor oil that pollutes less.
Why you should stock up
5W-20 is the wave of the future. Most Ford Motor Company 2001 model year engines have been designed to use this new oil and Ford Motor Company now recommends it for many older vehicles as well. Since not all automakers recommend 5W-20 and not all independent oil change shops stock it, now is the time to take advantage of this opportunity. With the advantages it brings, your customers are asking for it — which means they’ll come to your business. It also helps assure them of warranty compliance and may lead to longer engine life. Ford Motor Company is a leader in cleaner and more efficient cars and trucks. Your business should be a leader in helping the environment — and your customers.
Motorcraft® Quality
Motorcraft® 5W-20 is a premium motor oil blended using synthetic and mineral oil base stocks manufactured via a process called “hydrocracking”. This process rearranges the molecules, freeing them of impurities and making them more durable and resistant to breakdown. Motorcraft® 5W-20 dramatically outperforms and outprotects conventional motor oils. Specially tailored additives are included to:
- Reduce friction
- Minimize engine deposits and wear
- Protect against high temperature oxidation and low temperature thickening, rust, corrosion and foaming
