Funny Noise when shifting

It sounds like the ds is hitting something. Sort of a metal on metal sound. What could it be?

uummmmmmm is this under WOT?? if so maybe Detonation!!!!!!!

if not maybe u-joints?

its not detonation. it is comingf rom the rear.

put the truck in neutral, crawl under it and shake the Drive Shaft. if it moves or knocks replace the ujoints... if not uuuuuummm i don't know....... oh you might want to turn the truck off before getting underneath.

Are you modded...?
If so and your truck shifts firm I'll bet $$$ that you have axle wrap. My truck did the same thing and after the JL bars it all went away.
