need help urgent

I have a problem:

I cleaned/oiled my air filter

Changed the flip chip switch to the Middle position (Street)

And when I started it cold.. it kept trying to kill.. like if someone was cutting off the ignition for a split second.. As it warmed up it got alot better..

so i drove it up the street and nailed it (to test new installed ET streets and street setting) and it sputtered and fell on its face.

I turned it off and put it where it was last, where it ran fine (Strip) and started it drove and nailed, and it sputtered again.

Do I just have to wait for it to thoroughly warm up with a diablo flip chip?

Can I reset the battery if something else is wrong?

I am scared to try it out after it fully warms up now for fear of blowing something up.

Need advise on how this diablo chip works, and how to change the settings with the switch (like do I have to leave it off for a while) and what is the difference even if not in detail between stock, street, strip.

Keep in mind i just bought this yesterday so I never drove it "cold" yet.

You may have over oiled the filter. That oil can get on the MAF sensor an cause all kinds of problems.

Make sure you plugged your MAF and IAT back in.

You may have over oiled the filter Or he may not have waited long enought after oiling before testing the truck. Either way sounds like oil on the MAF.

Ding ding.. over -oiled it.

Get come electric contact cleaner or brake cleaner (something that DOES NOT LEAVE A RESIDUE)

and clean the sensor to the MAF.
