Another Hemi Gets Struck By Lightning...

Personally, I think the 345 rating is VERY optimistic.
Just wondering...

HI!... My N/A 5.4 makes 340H.P/440FT/LBS of TQ. (FLYWHEEL). I have raced plenty of DODGE HEMI 4X2, reg-cabs. I destroy them. I pull them at least 5 truck lengths to 60MPH. Anyone know what the HEMI's 0-60 times are? I've done it in 5.2 seconds.
They do have torque, 375lbft is what they report.
The 5.7 hemi rental I had was just so sluggish and mild. It seemed like the engine power was there, but the rest of the truck just didnt want to go.
By no means slow, but I expected a bit more.

My brother posted an interest admission on the Dodge, HEMI website:
I have won some and lost some ,but the worst was when my own brother beat me. But, he has a ford supper crew with a KB suppercharger and a list of other go faast goodys.

There isn't a HEMI out there that I can't beat with my 6000# 4x4 Supercrew!!!

the brother-in-law has an 03 25004x4 hemi. now i know it is a heavy truck but the only thing that goes fast is his gas he's getting like 11mpg and that is driving normal. Dodge is not known for their trannies either, if they do see 345hp and 375ftlbs on their motor (yea right, in a perfect world) i bet they are loosing alot through the drive train.

After the 2nd stomping he wasn't interested in trying to take me and we continued on. Once we got to the Gandy bridge he decided to do a ricer fly-by. As I watched him way behind me gaining speed, I was coasting down to 45 MPH or so. I figured that the way my L jumps from 45 to 80 it would be a great eye-opener for him.
I love my Lightning !!

Its been 30 yrs since I raced on it
Nice *** kicking!
My sister has an 03 extended cab Ram w/ the hemi....it's a pretty quick truck for what it is. She bought it mainly for the 375tq to tow her horse trailor. It couldn't take my lightly modded 90 GT though, which is probably a high 13sec stang. Haven't run into a single cab Hemi or Hemi sport yet....maybe I'll get lucky!
