Having read Mr. Goodell's posts, I, for whatever foolish reason, felt that an understanding of why he needed only the lock cylinder might be appropriate. There was much discussion of re-programming and lock changing prior to my response. I apologize for needlessly and wantonly wasting 90 % of my post and the time of those who read it.

I get the hint. NLOC got $ 30.00 of my membership dollars in response.
Kerno - I was trying to keep Edward Goodell on the subject at hand since I recently had EXACTLY the same issues.

As I said the information you offered was correct but in HIS Specific case ( this thread ) it just confused the issue.

It looked like he was already a little overwhelmed and I was just trying to help him filter thru the info to keep track of what he needed to fix his truck. Apparently we agree that he didnt need to mess with any reprogramming or keyless entry.

Forgive me for trying to keep the thread on topic. The beauty of the internet is there are lots of places to visit. Perhaps NLOC will suit you.
Best of luck
Doug

thanks all, I haven't been able to sleep to well since this happened. I no it sounds stupid to some, but its just the feeling of not being able to control that. Its 3:45 in the morning and i'm looking for alarm systems for the truck lol. I actually found something for the locks themselves. Its not a alarm, but i found it at www.jimmijammer.com and what it is, is a metal shield that goes behindthe lock,so theifs can't "pop" the lock out or in. For 45 buck for both doors i can't beat it.

Thats a viable option. Especially for the piece of mind that a punk with a slim-jim will have a hard time.
But the sad fact is, in this day, if somebody really wants to steal your truck.........its gone

gator that is true, but im trying to by as much time as possible in order for them hopefully give up and move on. If they break in they break in but as long as my truck is still there when i arrive, i will live with that.
