Apten, 4lb, 6lb???

Hello everyone. I was just curious about those three different thngs. I have currently a 4lb lower with most common bolt ons. I was dyno'ed at jdm at 401 to the wheels and 499 pounds torque on street tune. I can't afford headers and mid pipes yet but i was wondering if getting the 6lb pulley put on would wind up being the same difference if i just get the eaton ported. I realize that a 6lb without headers is dangerous with out a dyno tune. But is getting the supercharger ported just as dangerous with out headers. I would obviously keep the 4lb on if i get the port job. and/ or put the 6lb on and keep the supercharger as is. Any opions would be appreciated.

6# with Apten Tune - = 433rwhp, 522rwtrq

(on a dyno tune, Street tune only (think conservative tune))

PSP

Stock exhaust.

yea i had a single program chip but i just purchased the 4 bank chip from jdm and can't wait for the spring so i can race on the the race tune. That makes me nervous with all that boost you have on stock exhaust but hey good luck lol. I don't think i'm that daring lol

i go to the track twice a year and put about 4000 miles on it a year.

I'm seriously looking at getting shorties.

There are so many companies that make them for th 5.4L

regular 5.4 shorties will fit the "L"

and when you "Search" you find out shorties are a waist of money and labor for what you gain.
DO IT right or leave it alone, but hey thats just my opinion

Don't waste your hard earned money, long tubes or nothing.
I was 483rwhp on the Apten port job with a 6lb lower and a 1lb upper, long tubes, and a bunch of other bolt=ons

Before and after the Apten

Porting the blower should be your next move. Putting a 6# on a stock blower can make enough heat to cause engine failure.

Porting the blower is an excellent bang for the buck. It has a cooler discharge temp, higher output psi, and I speculate it takes less power consumption to achieve both of those.

BTW: It does lean out your burn a little. As long as your tune is "conservitive" to begin with you won't need to worry. Just keep an eye on the plugs.
