HRE 645 wheels on DSG

I've got a few more in My Gallery here on F150online.

I am pleased with the results.

Those look awesome!

They are 18's. How much...well, check out http://www.hrewheels.com and a lot of the time you can get them about 10% off their list price.

Thanks, found them. So polished around $1200 a set for 18 x 9.5's? That looks like a great deal. Very clean rims, indeed.

Uh... no, HRE is listing them by the wheel...not by the set.

I got them through a non-supporting vendor, so I will not post it here. I did not pay close to retail, however. Nevertheless, they are not cheap any way you cut it.

Standard finish, they come with painted centers. If you want polished or brushed that is an additional charge. The outer barrells are polished standard... I had them chromed b/c it should last longer and while I'm **** about how I keep my vehicles, I do not want to polish out water spots every time I drive through a puddle (the Fikse's on my Z06 are not that bad... HRE's are lots of work to keep the polished finish clean).

ShockTherapy is correct... they are 18's. I wanted to be able to run my Nitto DRs on them, so I needed to keep the stock size.

svt_2004, I have the Roush suspension kit. No pinion angle issues. It comes with completely new rear leaf springs.

Thanks for the compliments, guys.

I can relate to that one... I've got polished as the finish on my 645's and keeping water spots out is a chore sometimes. But my brake pad dust tends to make chrome peel, so I couldn't go with it.

Are those 18x9.5's or 18x9's? Either way, what backspacing did you get on them?

Mine are 18x10's. I need to dig up the offset, I forget.

Mine are 18x9.5 w/ stock backspacing.

Dan, I didn't realize brake dust would make the chrome peel. I hope mine isn't so bad it does that. That would not be good.

Worst case is in years to come, I'd just have to have the chrome removed and learn to be content with polishing them often.
