Lost some boost...
This past weekend I went ahead and cleaned the intercooler in my '01 (very disgusting) and when i was finished and everything was on and secure I went for a test drive and noticed that when I went into WOT I didn't get the usual 10-12lbs of boost. It was more like 6-8lbs. I took a look in engine compartment and found a disconnected red hose and a plug missing from the boost bypass mod. I fixed that and I am now seeing 8-10lbs.
I am still missing like 2lbs of boost, the truck just doesn't feel the same, is this normal after cleaning the intercooler? or was it something I missed? Any one have any ideas or solutions? Thanks in advance!!

roots blowers, by design, just paddle the air and the "boost" is just most and more air being shoved into the combustion chambers. if there's not as much obstruction there, I'd imagine air wouldn't have as much of a hard time making its way into the motor, thus less boost. However, if you feel your truck isn't as quick, then you have a problem
what are your mods that you were able to see 10-12 lbs. if this was stock, that is quite unusual--even for the inaccurate stock boost guage.

I've only been to the track once, and my times shouldn't reflect my Hp/Tq numbers since I was a pretty bad driver but out of three runs my best was a 8.8 on the 1/8 mile at 82mph. I do have some dyno graphs and it shows 406.9hp 489ft/lbs torque. My dynotune was done at JBA racing in San Diego, CA.
Can anyone describe where the boost actuator is? Is it where you disconnect the line for the Boost Bypass mod?
