Thumbs up Got a funny phone call

Phone rings at work yesterday, and it's the used car manager from the dealership that bought my L. He essentially bought my L sight unseen, just the photo from the Auto Trader ad.

Oh man did he love my L. He just kept going on and on about how clean it was, how nice the wheels looked, and most importantly how FAST the truck was. Best compliment was when he said "I don't want to sell this thing". They had sent a drvier and flatbed to bring it to the dealership which was like 320 miles away. He saw the trcuk out back when he got in to work and took it for a spin. He loved the FTVB. Said the thing drives so civilized when you just drive normally, but when you hit the go pedal, HOOOLLLYYY SH!!!!!!TTTTTT. I was LMAO while he was talking to me.

One other thing I found interesting is he's got a friend that just bought a new C6 Vette. The guy had taken him for a ride in it and he said it was really fast, but he thinks my L is faster.

So even though the L's gone, it's sure nice to see that someone appriciates the work and love that went into my truck. Funny thing is, being in the car business I know how jadded used car buyers can be. So to see one get truely excited over something I created was great.

Here's a shot of my baby one week before she went away.

Funny story...You'll probably always miss it; the good ones are like that. It's like the best looking chick that you let get away story. It never quite sits right that some other guy is now having fun driving her.

Thumbs up

Good one Marty, It does not stop the Lightning continues to WOW the unsuspecting souls.

Same situation here, when my truck was totaled someone bought it from the Insurane Co and repaired it. After a while he called me and he was in awe that a truck could be so fast and yet handles so well I told him to enjoy the truck and I hung up. I felt loosing my truck.

Totally know what you mean. I had a question. Your sig shows two '04 L's. Do you currently own both? If so, do you want to adopt a son. Or if you have a hot daughter, maybe a son-in-law.

Yes, I bought a second, Red one recently. With the X-plans, marketing support, and business tax advantages it was a no brainer for me. As for the kids....I don't have any or need any extra ones. That's how I afford the extras !!!

Sounds kind of selfish to me. J/K But hey, just think of how nice it would be to have a son that's a fleet manager at a Ford dealership. You could get the extra tax break for a dependant also. Oh yeah, I'm 48 now. Never mind. HEHE
