I'm not C&L so I can't speak for them.
Just from observing though... C&L doesn't swear up and down that if you buy this product you'll get XXX gains. Based on their dyno results they only say "typically" and "as much as" concerning HP gains. I'm betting this is because they know it's possible for some vehicles to dyno different (less) than their test vehicles.

Which leads to my next question... What company that sells Lightning parts guarantees a specific horsepower gain or your money back???? You said there are many, I can't think of one.

Bad choice of words on my part, did not mean Lightning vendors.
Meant other companies not Lightning vendors. So i apologize for making it seem as one thing and not another.

As far as C&L swearing up and down. Some of the forum's i have been on there is a comment from C&L, vendor or a third party that saw the test or tested it themselves and are verifying the results.

Yet i think i see more real world test's disputing those findings.
Yes, i know what they say in their website about "typically" and "as much as" and that is okay, but you cant use that to hide behind.

If you put out a product, and for whatever reason it performs less than advertised, even though you stated "as much as" and "typically", then you have to be able to do something about its lack of performance. If Ford put out a lightning that they say showed 380 crank hp in their lab but yet everybody else is seeing 340 crank hp, do you think they could hide behind the findings in their lab? Same thing that happened with the Cobra.

I know it might be comparing apples to oranges, so dont take my comments as written in stone.

I decided to hold off on buying that plenum until more real world data is brought up. And yes i know that it is my right to not have to buy anything, but you cant run a business that way.

Im sure they saw the results they say they saw, im not disputing that cause i wasnt there. Most of C&L replies dont even really say much about HP, they do talk about CFM's and such.

But, since im not a mechanical engineer i cant dispute any of that. I will wait in my corner quietly until im convinced. Now remember im speaking as a consumer, and ultimately that is what counts.
If the consumer doesnt beleive your claims or is unhappy with your product then all your test's just went out the door.

Make me happy and i will keep buying from you, cast any doubt on my purchase and im gone.

I dont think what most people are asking for is unfair, they just want more proof or for C&L to adjust their claims.
