Houston area tuner

Ok new to the Houston area and am looking for a tuner! There has to be atleast one in the city, they have multiples of everything else on everyother block. Anyway i spoke to Andre at HALO (1BADTK) but i didn't catch where he dyno's at. There doesn't seem to be much movement at HALO can anyone point me in the right direction, with the cooler weather and some minor mods i need a retune. OH SCT chip!

Houston Area Tuner

Go to www.halo.com The Houston Area Lightning Owners. Andre Terranova is my tuner. He is very responsive and a great asset to the Lightning community. I knew very little about tuning and between this board, HALO, and Andre I have learned alot. There is nothing like the unique "brotherhood" of lightning owners. Andre tunes using SCT software.

email me for any other info

Craig

Don't know exactly what he does when on the dyno... but he's put out some good numbers in the programs he does.

We had him down in Jan. 2003.... all the new guys have switched to Andre (SCT), also the ones with build motors. Few running Sals (me, till I get my motor in) and JDM's.

It's so much easier to have one done locally... especially if you are gonna be doing mods over a long time, easier for reburns.

He's been able to extract a lot of hp, on conservative tunes.

He also does Mustangs and Foci.

I will likely have Sal down to tune my truck in person, and likely PitchBlacks truck as well this next year. Sal has by FAR the most experiance with these trucks, and in my mind is THE BEST tuner around for a Lightning. Sal is my tuner and I will stand behind him.

Greg L (PitchBlack) and Myself would trust NO ONE else to tune our trucks for REAL power and nitrous.. so if thats worth anything, keep it in mind.

Ive heard Andre can make a nice street program, I have not tried one myself.

I work through Sal VERY easily even though he is not local. I have a predator, I email my files to him, he makes a change, and emails them back and voila... Instant Gradification.

Either way, Im sure you will be happy.

No fireworks here Michael.

Andre has done one hell of a job on my street and break-in tunes and I’m very pleased with the current street tune that I have now. Here is an excerpt from a post I made over on the HALO board after our first dyno session with the new motor and blower. You can see the whole post on HALO’s forum if you like.

The truck made 516 RWHP and 593 RWTQ on the street program with only 13# boost on pump gas.

Certainly not the numbers you put out, but none the less good for my combo and first Dyno pull.

I will be changing the pulley arrangement to try and up the boost to 17 to 18 # and will be having Andre do the revised street and race tunes accordingly.

I am in the process of installing a Racetested nitrous progressive system and have asked Sal to do the Nitrous tunes on the truck. I will be running a substantial amount of nitrous and would imagine that the combination will put the truck well into the 10 sec bracket. As Shane said I will be running under the PSP and SCT banners next season God willing. I have nothing against any of the other tuners, but I truly believe the three people that have helped me thus far are the three that will eventually get me to my goal.

Thank you Sal at PSP, Andre at SCT tuning, and Denny at Racetested.
