Found a way to mount the GTech to the overhead console.

Discovered the stock mirror in the oem Windstar console has a ball attachment that is the same size as the one the GTech holder uses. So I removed the mirror from the console and reversed the base and JBWelded it in the stock location. Now I can simple just insert the GTech holder anytime I want to play on the street. Fits nice and snug.

Now I just need to fill and smooth the piece with some bondo and get it painted before I finish the install.

when you do these projects, are you sanding by hand, or with an electric sander?

When people want to pay what there worth. Which would be more than a 3 pillar pod holder. I still am on schedule to start making the molds right after Christmas. You should start seeing them on a few FL owners rides by the end of Janaury.
