Also, i've noticed lately on cold mornings, my blower has been making some type of bearing noises. When its low 30's high 20's it seems to do it until it warms up. I need to take the belt off and give it a spin, check the oil etc. I also have apten port job done to it, which was done a couple months ago. Maybe its just the cold tho

dumb question but have you checked your blower gear box oil level? Also one thing to remember the grease in the rear bearings is a special grease and is hard to get. Further it should be measured for longivity. Here is a pic of what's inside the snout of your eaton.

Don't and I repeat don't send it to Magnuson

I would much rather you send it to Magnum Powers for service

http://www.magnumpowers.com/

I have no idea why Eaton still uses Nagnuson as a authorized repair facility

MP has the talent to service the Eaton. It's not a question if they can service the Eaton the question is weather or not MP would even want to rebuild an Eaton.

Tampa, I can service an Eaton and do work on blowers in my area. Take a look at the pic. I just posted that is an Eaton snout that I worked on.

I don't offer my services cuz I am not a supporting vendor. However, those of you who know me well know I can and have e-mailed me for part No. and or directions.

Merry Christmas,

Suavy :santa:

got the blower off and took it to steig. it is a warped case.they said most of the lightning blowers are warping after being ported.they had not been checking the clerances and machining the case until recently when they realized this was a problem.they took it apart and showed me were the rotors had been rubbing the case.they said they will take care of it

My first ported blower seized from lack of clearance. I went to Stiegemeier's shop and we examined at least 10-12 stock blowers and they all showed signs of the rotor/case contact. Stieg's machined in extra clearance on my second ported supercharger. They used my supercharger as a test to see if the increased clearance would still build and hold boost. Well, it works great, I'm seeing 14-15lbs of boost with just a 4 lb lower.

My supercharger would ocassionally make noise on startup. It failed at the track after a run. As soon as I let off the gas it was making a horrible noise. By the time I got back to the pits and popped the hood I knew it was the supercharger. I turned the truck off and let it sit for about 15 minutes. When I tried to restart, the supercharger was locked up so tight that the engine wouldn't even turn over.

If you want to check out the supercharger, stop by sometime. I'm in O'Fallon.

guess i may have done the right thing and tear the blower off.i was sure it was a bearing and was going to take off the nose.i had just put the blower back on and did not want to take it off again.mainly because it took forever to get a new set of bolts to mount the blower.then come to find out the everthing is coated in oil again i needt to fix the drivers side some how.so much oil is being pulled in the boot that it is going in the vacume like and leaking out the boost acctuator (A QUESTION I HAD IN A PREVIOUS POST).i will have to drop in sometime.

I've reused my stock blower bolts, twice.
