I have a friend that has one and ran 11.8sss with slicks and air box... Also have some friends that have modded them trying to get in the 10's and all they came up with is broken transmissions.. From what I hear their are no aftermarket bullit proof ones available.............. Keep it stock and have fun........

Right, but not stock!

Slicks or drag radials make a huge difference on these cars!

Depends upon age, demographics and past record. If one is under 25 yrs old in California for example,it can be very costly. I have seen many young adults pay in excess of 150.00 a month for insurance. I am sure the individual that this post is directed to is below 25. Thanks for your inputs anyway!

Where did I say a 33,000 vehicle will kill you...I was refering to the cost of insurance of a performance vehicle. My lightning is only 300.00 for 6 mos. You are paying too much....Get GEICO!
I said $33/6mos. ... which is the difference b/w an '04 L and an '02 Z06, same coverage. Read the post.

And no I'm not paying too much.

I realize that younger men pay significantly more (I'm old... 36). In fact, its outrageous what they have to pay even for something like a Honda Civic. I don't know how old Leo is, so I'm sorry if my post was an overgeneralization.

But for anyone over 25, the difference is negligible.

I never really like the commemorative blue in person, just my opinion. Kerbeck had tons of them they couldn't get rid of for awhile. Now Magnetic Red...

Neither of the above cars are the LeMans Blue (which is the Commemorative Edition color). They are Electron Blue and there is a difference, although you may not like it either.

Magnetic Red is awesome. Too bad they don't offer that color in a Z06. No idea why, but they never did.

Thanks for the compliments, Shank Dog! I have an '04 L, so I'll pass on the trade. The Z06 has a Lingenfelter Stage 2 twin-turbo. Forged motor, 10psi of boost, stock exhaust. It's a super sleeper.

WA2FST- I like the way yours is set up-looks basically stock,so you'd never know what lurked beneath the hood! Just the way it should be. Nice!
