Dyno Results in tonight........

Dynojet was the dyno used.

Unfortunately, my last uncorrected dyno sheet flew out my window on the way home while I was whooping on a Mustang. Figures below are "corrected."

First pull 16* timing was 431/526. A/F was 11.5 until 5000 RPM where it went to 12.0 HP max'ed out right at 5000 RPM.

Second pull was 20* timing 444/538 with A/F hovering around 12.5 dipping briefly to 12.0 at 4700 RPM, and going back up from there. (Uncorrected was 449/545).

Final setting was 18* with A/F going to a low of 10.9 and a high of 12.5 around 5000 RPM mark. After 5000 RPM, my MAF is max'ed out at 5.0 volts. We tried adding fuel up at that end of the RPM spectrum, but it didn't really change the graph. Willie told me that the fix would be the new "maphia" that allows up to 10 volts in the MAF, and you don't need to buy another MAF.
Corrected: 446.98/523.47 (uncorrected was 451, don't remember TQ, this was the one that flew out of the window).

TQ was at or above 500lbs from 3000-4600 RPM. Peak HP actually started dropping off after 5000 RPM. I have since lowered my shift RPM's to 5250 (I had them up between 5400-5500 RPM).

With the previous 431 RWHP figure, I got 106.39 MPH on hot/humid 80 degree night, but I still felt it to be low. Now for the big question. With the above (new and improved) HP numbers, on F1's, what should my MPH be in the quarter mile even in not-so-good air?

Sweet! Nice numbers. I'm guessing I'll be in the 435 RWHP range when I dyno mine in the next week or two.

Wow, nice numbers man! Call up one of the big 3 tuners and get a solid tune. Get ready for some low 12's

W/a 6# lower your strong point is in the 1/8th and that 60ft. And trying to do that on F1s is tough. I'd say on a 80 degree 60% humidity day you'd only see 107mph at best.

Congrats Bro, niiiiiiiiiiiiiiice relsults and #'s

But I have to give my personal opinion on A/F.
12+ is DANGEROUS at WOT after 4000 - 4500 RPM
Schitt it's ok to have 14 up to 3500 or so, but at WOT
high MPH and RPM, YOU DO NOT want to be 12 or higher

AMOF, I like to be Pig Rich THEN

Rob_02Lightning: I agree. We tried to richen it up, but because of the MAF max'ing out, we were unable to make much difference. Fortunately it's only there after 5000, and it will be shifting around that time, so duration should be short.

MisterGadget: Gabby's Auto Werks with Willie Figueroa.

Fast1: Loud! Willie Figueroa is one of the big tuners, but the best thing is he made the adjustments on the spot.

I have to say that JLP's mail order tune was REAL CLOSE. Even Willie, after looking at the first pull said there would not be alot of room for movement.

NICE numbers
I see you went w/ the NGK IX plugs like I did, so far no problems here.
My timing is around 19* on the top side and I am running richer than you are up top..The Eaton port job is next on my list of mods, Do you think the porting was the cause for your MAF to max out ?

My A/F chart is below.....

I get down to Boca quite a bit...I'll e-mail you to see if we can catch up.

Art-Man

I asked Willie that same question. He seemed to feel that the HP was reaching the end of the range for the MAF meter on "my" truck, although he has seen people with Kenne Bell blowers get more HP on stock MAF's. He told me about the new "mafia" plug on module that allows MAF's to run up to 10 volts, so they can continue their compensation past 5 volts.

My A/F was 12-12.5 only from 5000-5250 RPM's, which isn't that lean and for such a short period in the RPM range. Plus, in the warmer weather that we usually have, I am confident that the A/F will only get richer than it is right now. At one point in the last run, I saw the digital A/F reading touch 10.9 around 4-4500 RPM area, so I am pretty confident that this tune is generally safe.
