4lb and 2lb to much?
4lb and 2lb to much?
hey i have a 2lb upper pully already and im about to add a 4lb lower but i just want to check to see if that will be to much for the eaton and if its border line will the powercooler help it out to were it will be a little safer to use thanks..... chris
I think there are many person here with that combo or justa 6LB lower that has gone well for thousands of miles. You will hear the proverbial saying" It's all in the tune" I dont know about the powercooler, I have read raving comments on it, but never used it. Probably someone who has will chime in. A
I tend to ride on the conservitive side of the "4lb" "6lb" debate.
If you look at the efficiency ratings of a eaton and the on track performance, you'll see that a 4lb or 5lb lower is about as good as it gets in an overall sense for your typical bolt on truck. Beyond that you get into trading off gains & losses.
Sure a 6# or even a 8# will work with the proper tune. But you gotta be realistic in how your gonna use the truck. IMO a 4# lower and a ported eaton offers the best bang for the buck in a *drive it anywhere / anytime* Gen 2.
