Why do lightning owners....
I think it's because when you decide you want to go faster you need a plan on how to get there. When you categorize mods you share what combos work well or poorly together, what kind of labor is involved an of course the almighty dollar bill too.
If you might be planning to go a particular route with mods you can learn how much is possible lets say on a stock block, or what tires will help ETs and so on ......... In that regard it's great info to share because you been there done that and others can really benefit from that.
But otherwise it's just a pi$$in' contest and hey, thats cool too!

I'm not flaming anyone, I just think it's getting a little out of hand.
I guess all I'm saying is that people feel the need to make a category for themselves instead of just setting goals and making accomplishments.
I have a few goals for myself but that doesn't mean I'm gonna claim being the fastest for my goals....I dunno....

My goal was to be the fastest L with a stock Eaton. I think I have pushed almost all I can out of it and am about a half second off Jims 10.5s run. However when you post that you have reached a goal. I.E. my third goal was to make a 10 second pass. The first thing most of us want to know is mods. When everyone was suprised that I had a Stock Eaton and Stock Plenum they were pretty suprised. Now why is that a problem to post what you have and have not?

It's the "Worlds fastest Eaton powered Lightning" posts, and "Worlds fastest stock shorblock lightning" posts that are annoying.
Don't get me wrong, I'm impressed by some of them, but why does everyone have to be the "worlds fastest" something or another??
I see your point, but I'm I guess I'm one of the guys you don't want to read about anymore.
I we will just have to respectfully have to agree to disagree. I do see your point, but don't agree totally.
