Whipple 2.3 0r 3.3..I want one...

Just got back from PRI, All I can say is I am glad I didn't buy a KB.

I know what my next mod will be. Can you say 3.3

Talked to Art Whipple and Dustin Whipple today. They are a class act, good people. They didn't talk smack about KB like KB did against their new product.

If they weren't "Top Quality" ,
Ford Racing wouldn't be going to start selling them.

Soon we should be able to get our hands on a 2.3 or 3.3.

I called on friday because I am interested in the 2.3 and asked if they had an ETA on the blower and they still said no.

Also is the the 2.3 the one priced at $4095 polished? If so are they charging $1095 to polish it because I thought it was actually supposed to be cheaper than the KB.. Or at least competative

This is the thread I am refering too by the way.. Maybe thats just ford racings infated price?

I would guess the Whipple is going to be a little more because they will be supplying a upper plenum with their kit? I'll pay a little more to have a blower that will last longer and make more power. Course they may have issues to resolve once their blower is released like KB, we won't know for sure until a few of us get our hands on them..

DL, on the stuff they had on display at PRI, did they redesign the Lightning kit to look more like a Lightning setup, or is it still an adapted F-150 kit with the drivers side intake?

Does this mean you're volunteering to pay more to be a test monkey?

Sal,

Unless they've re-designed it Dustin told me it would have the drivers side intake and mono-blade as part of the kit for the Lightnings.

Hey Sal,

They didn't have a display or vendor area at the show. They just attended.

I asked them to make it more like the stock Eaton setup. They said they probably were still going to make it a side entry like the cobra because of the room needed for the volume of air to enter at the rear of the blower.

I didn't say I was going to be one of the first to have one Bob...

I guess the people that bought the KB's are considered "test monkey's, there's been a lot of blowers locking up.
