We have two new products on the market that compete directly with each other. Yours is twice the cost of the competing C&L. If it out performs it - great. People can weigh the cost vs performance benefit. If it is similar, why even bring the product out at that price point? We need a head to head comparison.

No I don't own a C&L plenum..

I'm sure one of the other vendors can supply one to you. I'm in the market for one of these products in February and looks means nothing to me.

Johnny's plenum looks to have alot more volume than the cast C&L unit.

Incidentally, I just went to the track with the C&L unit, but I also had a different program in the truck at the same time, so I know the comparison is off, but my MPH remained practically identical to the stock plenum.

I need to go back to the track with the prior program in the truck to make a good comparison. However, I am not encouraged at this time with the "indications" the C&L unit has given me, in that I am not confident there is really much performance in it. Yeah, I know it's supposed to be 14HP, but I didn't even pick up MPH and it was a cooler night than when I ran on the stock plenum.

Johnny's sheet metal piece looks like it may make a much bigger difference in HP than the C&L piece (from a volume perspective).

It's all about delta P. The larger the "plenum" before the rotors the better. I would like to see what the inside looks like though. Assuming there is simply a wall thickness from the outside shape, I'd like to see this piece have smoother bends. And the angle at the rear is less than optimal. Is it hitting the cowl lip area?

(I'm not being pestimistic. I'm engineer. It's my nature )

They said Dyno will not be done until he gets back from PRI Show, that runs thru this weekend, so I wouldn't expect them until a couple days into next week
