Leaking water from headliner
Just like it sounds, driving home in the rain this morning and I noticed the back of my arm rest was a little wet then I could feel water hitting my arm, I suppose the seal around the back window is bad, but I am no expert. Whats everyone's opinion, and hopefully the dealer will fix it no problem. The headliner has actually soaked up some water which really scares me, no telling how long its done this. At least its inside now and can dry out some. Thanks in advance for help
The sealant on the back windows is very tricky to
get right ... Have a real glassman do the work. Mine
leaked like a sieve until we had "Happy the Glassman"
reseat the whole thing. And that black sheat is horrible.
Can't help but get some on your truck, so look forward to cleaning it.
It's Butyl Rubber and it is way soft ....
Good Luck ...

Mine leaked from Day one from the front. I took it to the dealer 3 times and they could not fix it. I finally took it to my buddies shopa and he had his glass guy remount the windsheild and seal it, problem fixed
IF your truck is still under warranty then take it to ford but other than that make an appointment to take it to a glass shop. The dealer will sublet the work out to a glass shop and you will have to pay both the shop and the glass shop.
The buytl tape that seals your window will sometimes shrink up and fall inside of the pinchweld causing a leak. It takes removing the window and resitting it with new tape. NO problem just time consuming because all of the side trim has to come down the window is bolted in.
If they leave any black on your truck call them out on it. There should be no reason to do a shabby job.
