Suspension
pardon my absolute ignorace..
I spent over an hour with the search feature and I only got more confused..
please help....
I'm used to swapping factory shock struck suspension for Top of the Line Tein adjustable suspension on my 300zx, 240sx, Civic an many others.. all of this could be done with 2 sockets 12mm and 14mm...
Now, in the world of trucks, I'm now exposed to the Leaf springs, front springs, rear shackles, spindles, 4/6, 3/5 drop, ect........
I would like to Lower my truck but not Slammed, I don't want to sacrifice my ride but I don't want to feel the the truck is not low enough. I don't want the ghetto bounce But a Tight Sport suspension is wanted. I'm most likely going to get 20" wheels but I don't want to ride on rubber bands for tires. And lastly, I want something that would last for a long time But I don't want to drop a bajillion dollars for a name brand if I can get the same result from a no-frills alternative.....
A combination of what do I need?
Thanks for the help........

I have the Roush suspension. Love it. Wouldn't do it any other way. I had a '99 for 4.5 years and just had a Chassis Tech 2" drop front springs and 2" drop rear hangers. It was fine. But for my '04 I decided to get a tuned suspension package. I installed the Roush with 800 miles on the truck. It's worth every penny.
Do a search on Roush or Hotchkis suspension. That will turn up some good info for you.
I have a couple of good "before and after" pics of how the truck looks with the Roush suspension. Check my webpage below and go to the page titled "Lightning".

belltech 2" drop springs and eibach hanger kit lowered my 03 2/4.. then add some QA-1 shocks and your good to ride. i have 20's, my 18's, and my 16's for the rear when its nice out. i dont have to worry about rubbing with any of them, and the 20's have a decent sidewall.
Even the factory offers a lowering kit. It uses what appear to be Ground Force front springs and comes with drop shackles for the rear. The kit is about $150.00. If you do change the front springs, it needs to be re-aligned and you'll need a set of "cam bolts" to do it. The intitial alignment is done with non adjustable spaces, so they get tossed and adjustable parts replace them. Napa and Ford both sell the cam bolts. Your alignment shop should be familiar with them, but ask first just in case. Taking a leaf out of the rears will drop it about another 1.5 inches. That's another "search" area.......
I saw this red L and it looked awsomely LOW...and it sat on 22" wheels......
I fell in love !!
I want that slammed setup !!!! What exactly do i need to lower my L like a 4/6 drop for the front and back?
