From what i saw it appears it popped at the differential. I dont think a driveshaft loop would have helped at all. He was running against another Lightning, I think it was Tim's son. But i remember his L hopping as it took off the line.

Yep first time out and ran a 13.6 stock and spinning the tires a little, with full weight, hitch, spare wheel, 10 " sub , amp and almost 3/4 tank of gas with almost bald F 1's and my big spoiler on back with all that drag, not bad for S. Florida humidity. I wanted to see what it would do in street form with no weight taken off, just like I drive it every day and I was happy with the results. With Nittos and weight taken off I might have pulled off a 13.4.Yes it was sad to see Bob lose his driveshaft but happy that a fellow L owner actually went home and loan him a spare driveshaft he had. From what I was told Bob's driveshaft had a repair weld on it and that's where it broke, and yes he had a loop.

BTW, Keith did get into the 12's on his last run without spraying. With his setup he should be running a flat 12 on motor and low 11's on spray but his slicks were just too small for the amount of torque he is putting out and he needs to work on his reaction times. Overall everyone had a good time at the track, what an experience, and it was all legal.

I had the stock looking white one.

I was getting tire spin, and detonation so I shut it down after two passes. Got a 13.18 at 106.44 on the stock tires.

Mac02Lightning ran the fastest at 12.04 with a bad launch. He was hoping for an a min 11 but not last night. The truck will go 11.6s when he gets used to it. Kieths truck will be an 11.3 to 11.5 truck once he gets some 30 inch slicks, those 26" cheater slicks just went up in smoke. Berts and Chris's truck will be shortly recieving some 12 sec mods and slicks too. Well, It was nice meeting all of you up there. I had a good time. That silver 02 air ride, ebay lightning was the withches tit.

It's the most forgiving color.

HardwareMan: I forgot to look at the overhead consul, but it was reportedly about 67-68 degrees. I had a new program in, and I guess my truck didn't agree with it.

I wish i could have stayed longer and met more of you guys. I really wanted to check out the other L's that where there.
Since i had my little guy with me and i didnt think it was going to get that low in temp i didnt want him to get sick so i took off around 8 or so.

I think the next Sat midnight madness is on Jan 29, im going back up for sure and hopefully this time with Traction bars and a DS loop. Dont know if im gonna have any other mods by then.
I kinda want to get my 60' times faster on a stock truck and then mod her.
