Question Magnum Powers or Maytag?

The contenders:

PRO's:

MP: Blows hard for cheap

MT: My wife will continue to blow hard and cheap

MP: Great price for a kick-butt blower

MT: Great price for a washer my grandkids will be using 60 years from now

CON's

MP: Not a Whipple

MT: Not a Magnum Powers

MP: Extra $$$ required to get the C/L plenum and throttle body, if your going to do it, do it right

MT: Extra $$$ required to buy the #$!@ dryer, cause you can't have one without the other

Any more?

Well, JDM has 15,000 10 second MP trucks from every nation in the world. What are the figures for Maytag?

Get the Maytag. I work there and we need the buisness so I can buy more parts.

I am posting here at work now, I guess I better get to work if I want to keep my job.

Don't waste your money on the MP. I'll post some results from testing MP against an Apten ported eaton later.

I got roped with the maytag deal last christmas for my wife. The dryer is great. The washer is a POS.

Before you spend your money on a Maytag washer be aware that there is a huge class action suit against them on the neptune models.

Ours has developed a stench that will not go away. Service has been out to fix it twice. There suggestion.... wipe it down with bleach after every use. WTF.... Off the record the service man even admitted his own personal machine has the same problem.
Search google for maytag and mildew. Youll get the picture.

Sorry for my off topic rant...... GET THE BLOWER and a cheap regular old washer for your wife.

Buy the washer... The class-action suit is on the Neptune front-loaders only. I got the exact model, including the matching dryer. With the new agitator system, this one is super quiet. The missus loves it...

Hell, buy the MP too... Not too quiet, though... Different kind of "agitator", LOL!!!

MayTag sucks. Just get a Kenmore from Sears. I've had my washer and dryer 8 years with no problems. My sister in law saw the maytag commercials and bought into the maytag hype. She is on her 2nd washer and third dryer in 7 years...
I bought a maytag double oven last month with a ceramic stove top. In less than 1 week the computer went bad. The maytag man took 3 days to show up and fix it. Two days later the oven stopped working. I took it back and bought a Kenmore...
Good thing maytag isn't a tuner or this could start a war.

You still bought a Maytag. We make them for Sears on the same assembly line...

Sorry you've had bad luck. If you need parts, let me know. I can get them at my cost.

M.O.P. Now, back to Lightings. Why not get a KB?

I thought that Kenmore was Whirlpool... That's why the Kenmore front loaders look like the Whirlpool Duet series Frontloaders.

The secret to all of this is to get just as excited about W/D's as you are about L's...

Sears gets G.E., Whirlpool, and Maytag to build it's appliances. You never know what your getting.

And if a ported eaton is about 30 over stock then 60rwhp total is good enough for me
