Help......!!!!!!!!

I love my truck... BUT, I'm getting the worst gas mileage ever....

it is a totally stock. I bought it in August of this year. It's a 2000 with 26K miles... I paid 19K for it......

It smells like gas from time to time and i get like 10-11 miles per gallon....

Help please

I think a lot of people get around 12MPG in town...?

I don't have a clue what mine gets. I never fill mine up unless I'm taking a long trip (keep it around 1/2 tank when staying in town.)

YEP, THATS JUST ABOUT RIGHT, although there are some
that claim to get 16-18, (SURLY NOT ME, I'm single digit myself)
Of course I'd want to investigate that Fuel Smell either way,
and if there's a Chip have it checked. You can have a Tuner build you a Economy Program that'll help also

BEST OF LUCK , WELCOME
AND WOW on the price you paid (GREAT DEAL)

I have a 2000 L as well, i have that "Fuel Smell" sometimes also, mostly when she sits out with out driving for a few days. I do get that horrible 10-11 mpg in town as well. Though its usual 10, only once I got 11 mpg and i have had it for 2 years now. Freeway i get about 15-16 mpg though.

I drive like your grandpa and avg around 16.5. Seen as high as 18.8 when stock and as low as 12.x in the mountians playing around.

Try using the gas and brake less..

Never measured my MPG. Don't really care either. AF ratios are more important to me...

What kind of gas are you buying? Get a good brand name fuel and not the cheap stuff because cheap gas has low energy content and doesn't save you anything.

If your smelling gas, you do need to investigate!

I had the L checked out by Autoway Ford and they said the car does NOT have a fuel leak anywhere... But it still concerns me

About the price, i'm known amongst my friend as the ultimate price anti-haggler.... I usually get good deals cause I bypass the sales sharks and head straight to the manager's office with checkbook in hand
