"well It Finally Happen Rods Thru Block

my 2003 lightning was heavy modded well guess what with 4000 miles on stock block rods went thru block. But JDM is building me a long block. temp was about 50% degrees this morning got on it getting on ramp stepped down on it and boom hole in block my 2003 lightning just had a total miles of 4000. so i played with fire and got burnt learned my lesson.I think jim told me they use the crower cams But i know JDM will build me a strong engine these stock block and rods sucks other lightning owners beware if you are modded and on stock block????? just got off of the phone with jim jr said they would build me a strong engine so from now on i will be running JDM motor.

Man, seems like almost every other day this time of year, I read about a blown engine.

Note to self: Stay out of boost.

That suck, but 50 degrees isn't that cold. Sounds to me a problem with your Diablo chip

But I will tell you the JDM engines are very strong and reliable. I bet I have the most miles on one of there motors and it is running real strong.

Sorry to hear that, mine went with about the same milage but due to too much nitrous. Now i got a built motor with all the goodies.Im not sure i would choose J.D.M. only because of their high price, not being a hater or anything i just cant see paying more for the same thing when it can be had less.My .02

6# lower + 2.80 upper and 50 deg???..............Just a matter of time Not bashing anyone, but doesnt it seem like most of the blown motors have the Diablo programs? That coupled with the colder temps. this time of year sure kills alot of 'em!
