An email conversation with Gregg Evans, Please Read
Gregg,
I have a problem with my transmission. A month or so ago I had my truck jacked up (it's a long story and I won't bore you with it) but when I started to let the jack down it slipped off of the frame rail and the jack saddle wedged between the header and the shifter on the side of the tranny, I might have bent something, I don't know. Anyway, it's throwing a tranny code (about the gear selection). It seems that the computer thinks it's not in gear when it really is, plus the shifter is hard to move now. Got any idea what I might have done or how to fix it?
Thanks,
Tim@Chikenears
Gregg’s answer:
You've bent the manual lever. To fix it you need a new manual lever, and possibly a new "rooster comb" and park rod. The manual lever is pretty easy to switch, I'll send you one, but the rooster comb is a bit more involved. What year is your truck?
G
Then another email from Gregg:
In a few days you'll get everything you need to fix your manual lever, I kept going up through the associated parts, and I may have got carried away, but you'll have too much instead of too few, that's for sure.
Happy Christmas,
G
Then, today the parts show up (see below). WOW, can you believe this?? I’m in total shock and my feet haven’t touched the floor in an hour now!!

My humble thanks go to Gregg Evans, the Monster Box MAN!:santa:
I know, I’m a vendor for Factory Tech and that accounts for something, I guess, but THIS?? This is WAY beyond the call of duty.
What can I say, I love the guy!!

He's a GREAT GUY!!! Plus, his tranny has stood up to 485 RWHP, 680RWHP, and 750 RWHP in my truck time and time again!!!
Never had 1 single problem with it in almost 2 years!!!

The irony here is that after hearing so many great things about Gregg, I think I'm to the point where I WANT to grenade my tranny and give him my business....is that so wrong? Time for some Quick downshifts to 1st at 85mph!
Gregg is a great guy,and goes out of his way for his customers but so do you Tim, you are very deserving of such a gift, and I'm sure thats 1 reason Gregg did it.
:santa: Happy Holidays to you both:santa:
