Tq convertor re-burn

I took my L to the track last night to try out the 2600 stall Tq convertor I just installed. I ran a 8.06, 87 mph on the 1/8, machine wasnt printing the 60s. I dont like how it runs and was told that I needed a re-burn. It takes off the line real good, but its shifts at around 5400-5500 rpms, it stays at that rpm for like a second and then shifts. It felt like it stops pulling then once it shifts it pulls again. What is recomended on the re-burn? What shift point is good? I was thinking bellow 5000 rpms at WOT.
