Question Transmission acting funny w/ chip?!?!

I don't know much about automatics, but when you take your foot off the gas completely, the RPMs drop almost instantly to about 1k or so, or about neutral........right?

With the chip in, if i let off the gas at about 40+ mph, the RPMs drop like it's still in gear, really really really slowly, and loud with popping exhaust.

chip out, everything AOK.

I would call your tuner, but I will tell you it does take about 100 miles or so for the truck to adapt to the chip. When I disconect my battery mine sometimes does some funky stuff for 100 miles or so.

Give it few miles. Every time I flash in a new tune with my predator my trucks surges like a bad convertor the first time I come to a stop? Then it clears up and all is well.
What you truck is not doing is called engine braking I beleive or something like that.

It sounds like it's engaging hte coast cluth and the TCC on coast down, which it's not suposed to do in OD but is designed to do with the OD off, are you loking out the OD?

The "O/D off" button was the first thing I checked, but I toggled it off and on a few times just in case.

what programming of the chip would make it do that anyways??

.........I really don't like the inflexability of the red delta chip, to have it reburned agian b/c of this is a PITA.

I need to start saving for a Predator!
