Kind of worried

I just installed a 2600 stall torque convertor and took it out for a serious spin. The L is now shifting at around 5200 rpms, it gos into the red and it has me worried. Im going to the track tomorrow, but im having second thoughts. I am getting a re-tune, you guys think it will be safe?

Question

Shifting at 5200 WOT or normal driving. Normal driving sure would have me worried! Otherwise I think you will be ok buddy. -Mat-

My L shift at 5700 rpms on the 1/2 shift and also on the 2/3 shift. It hits 5900 rpms on my 3/4 shift at around 132 mph's.

5200 rpms is not bad. I don't think you should worrie about it.

How does the torque conventor feel on the street and did you notice benefits when you WOT from a dead stop?

The convertor feels great, step on it and spins the Nittos like if they where F1s. From a dead stop the motor revs ups quicker, I love it.
