Soory to hear about it bacamino,

Please share with us as much as you can about things that might help us prevent the same thing.

Plugs, what brand, range, and age were they?
Fuel filter. How old was it?
Timing at WOT?
Fresh oil I assume?
How many miles on the motor?
What were your shift points?

I'm not trying to prod to much into your business.. Just shareing this type of info may help us prevent damaging our stuff.

That's a little scary... sounds like mine, kept in top tune.

Can you try and explain the feeling (and sound) of when it laid down on the top end?

got to the 1000 ft mark and it felt like it was slipping a little
do you mean it starting loosing power but you did'nt notice any thing else?

Also, was this 4th pass a hot lap, or was the motor cold, or what?

Rich

little update

well didnt do to much just cleaned most of the oil and anti freeze of the truck. i drained the oil pan or should i say antifreeze pan cause thats all that came out. i decided to pull the wheels and see if i could see the damage to the block. looking through the passenger fender well i could see a nice size hole in the block. while looking in the hole i could see light so i pulled the other wheel and found yet another hole. you can see straight through the block. when i do things i make sure i do them rite

when i say slipping i meant the slicks they felt like they were spinning ahen i talk to the guys running the track they said it when around the 1000ft mark thats where the oil trail started

i felt no loss in power or heard any real noise that was noticible over the exhaust and blower. the noise in the motor was noticable one i let off the gas then you could here a nasty rattle/clunking noise. i hope you never have to hear it.

no hot laps the truck was nice and cool also the temp outside was COLD dipping into the real low 40's

I admire you for your lively spirit with the blown motor. I have seen quite a few who were not taking it quite as good as you.

Keep it up bacamino.

All the best on the motor rebuild .

Sorry to here about the motor. The same thing happened to me back in June, only thing I was using nitrous. I just recently got my new motor in and running. I got my motor from Md motorsports. Ken and Brandon are quality guys. I am in the break-in stage and have a mild tune with them. I put down 467rwhp and 502rwtq. This was with 10 degrees of timing. Anyway good luck with whome ever you go with.
