2nd gen. L owners with KB's?

I bought a used KB blower for my 03 Cobra two weeks ago and I have had a few problems with it. One of the biggest is a rapid boost drop-off. I guess I have it narrowed down to belt slip. I have a four pound lower pulley and on the KB I have a 13 pound. I want to go to a two pound lower and a non-slip 15 pound from South Florida pulley.

My question is the locating boss on the pulley used to center the pulley on the snout. In the snout of the KB is a bushing. Mine is a single piece and is smaller than a brand new KB I just installed on a buddies 03 Cobra. I installed his just before I did mine. His bushing is made in two pieces and the locating boss is about .25 inches bigger than mine. His two piece bushing caught my attention right off since I knew the blower I had was a single piece. I am trying to get in contact with him so I can borrow his puller tool and measure his and my pulleys. Terry Reals at S. Fla Pulley and I have been emailing back and forth and Terry told me the Lightning KB pulley boss was smaller than the Cobra KB. I'm wondering if since my blower is used that maybe someone swapped out the bushing in the snout from an L for some reason or another.

Is there anyone out there with a KB L pulley laying around with a pair of calipers that could measure the locating boss? If I knew the diameter I may just need to order an L pulley for my KB instead of a Cobra.

Thanks,
Larry

I couldn't get ahold of my buddy so I made a tool to pull the pulley of my blower. The locating boss on my pulley is .667 in diameter. Can anyone confirm.
