Nothing official but just went to the auto show on Miami Beach and spoke to the lady who was on the stage talking about the new Ford GT they had on display ( beautiful car), anyways, I asked her about the new Lightning and if she knew if they had shelved it, she said that she was the one that also handled the Lightning concept at the auto shows and that as far as she knows they're coming out in 2007 and she has heard nothing about shelving the L. Well, who knows, maybe she dosen't really know that they're doing away with it, but I assume if you're working with Ford in the auto shows and you're assigned with their top of the line vehicles you should be up to date on the newest news, I do hope she's right though as there is really no official word from Ford as yet, keep your fingers crossed.
