How many of you bolted down your MTX Thunderform?

I bought an MTX Thunderform and was wondering if I need to bolt it down or not. It didn't come with any mounting hardware, but I've been told it can just drop in? Will it slide around at all? I don't have my seats all the way back or anything either.

Cool

I've thought about bolting mine down, but have not took the time to see what would be involved.

In the mean time, I put it on top of some of that black bubbly material that is made to line tool boxes, etc. and that keeps it from moving too much...

Mine dont move at all. Have 1100 watts going to it as well. Now, granted I have the seats all the way back. If the seats arent going to be all the way back you should probably find a way to attach it.

I bolted mine down mainly for security reasons and so that my Ins company would cover it were to be stolen. They told me that as long as its "mounted" in the truck, then it would be covered. They said bolting the box down would be suffice.

Never did bolt mine down. Didn't move much at all. The seats keep it in place fairly well.

Well, since I sit pretty close to the steering wheel with a lot of room behind my seat, I will probably go ahead and bolt it down. Damn, I really didn't want to have to drill...

Does anyone else have a viable alternative to drilling? Will velcro or shelfing sheets work?

Use some 3/4" particleboard, use a good silicone and glue it to the metal behind the carpet. re-install the carpet in the back, including plastic trim, etc, let setup, then screw your boxes, amps, etc into it. worked good for my JL subs and amp.
