Painting the Center of hood and Grille Surround

Soooo, im pretty bored with the look of my truck and ive been thinking about painting the center of the hood and around the grille surround. Much like RobG's black with the Orange up the center of the hood. Or Vinman??? i think with the black and blue up the hood. There's also the one thats red, with the orange center.
Anyhow, i'd like to be original here, anybody got any ideas? I didnt want to end up copying someone, and haveing the same complete look as someone else. My truck has Carriage Works billet grilles, and also a Cobra Hood, i forget the brand. Anyhow, my trucks black....Ive been thinking of a performance red or something, to Lazer red, to Sonic blue....what do you guys think?

I saw a guy with a True Blue L that bought a pint of Ford's ChromeIllusion (the special '04 Coba edition paint) from eBay and he put it on his front bumper and fenders, and some on tailgate, and on True Blue, it looked awesome. My bet is it would look great on black as well.

The '04 Cobra color is called Mystichrome, not chromeillusion.

I almost did that scheme too but just didnt feel right seeing as Rob had done it in basically the exact color I wanted. It looked great on his truck! I am trying to come up with something differant for mine. But if you do it it should look good.

I thought the 1996 Cobra color was "Mystic" and the '04 special color was "ChromeIllusion"? Maybe the ChromeIllusion is the BASF and/or DuPont modern version Im thinking of. If not, my bad. Regardless, it looks awesome on a True Blue Lightning.

Derek,

The nice thing about black is that just about everything goes well with it. Here's another fine example of the 'ol hooptie paint scheme...

I'd like to see that paint scheme in a flat black (satin, whatever) on a black truck. That would be pretty evil looking I think.

ChromeIllusion is made by Dupont, it is a whole line of color changing paint

Mystic also made by Dupont

Who's L is that?

I'm trying to figure out what he's done w/ the factory fogs.
I assume he made somesort of home made CAI.
The fogs have been relocated to the lower grill and it also appears to have plexiglas or something of the sort over the grill area.

chromalusion is made by dupont and is crazy expensive, especially if your car is painted in toronto by Dupont.
