I'm gonna be sitting out this week.

I've got some new plugs to put in tomorrow and I picked up a set of ET street slicks on MT rims, so now MAYBE I can get a 60' below 1.9 and MAYBE get a 12. I got a SWEET DEAL - $200 for rims, tires, tube, and spline drive Gorilla lugs - all mounted & ready to break my driveshaft.

My last pass at the the Midnight Madness was down 1.5 MPH, so I'm a bit leary until I get a fresh set of plugs in it. My WBC gauge is scaring the **** out of me lately and I don't want everyone to see my oil - its kinda shy. It would be my luck to get a $6000 12 second club sticker.

I'm looking for Wed. or Friday of next week, most likely.

Hey Clay I just now saw your post. Thanks for the compliment Bro. It was really good to see everyone. I will cherish the day I run a 12.6 in the 1/4 mile. Yea I was smiling ear to ear. My first run (best of the night) was a 13.01 @ 106 with a 1.95 60 foot on my goodyears. That was my first sub 2 second 60 foot ever and beating that 11 second Camaro with a 13 second truck.......well, that was friggin awesome and that guy was not a happy camper. That was a once in a lifetime thing I just wish it was on video. Nathan paid for it later though...sorry Nathan...but better you than me.

It was pretty funny when it appeared that the second Camaro just gave up at half track. I'm not sure if he broke or just flat a$$ gave up. It looks like it's going to be another good night for racing. The friggin turnaround is over and I am off until Monday so I'm headed to SAR tonight to see if I can get another sub 60 foot and a high 12.

Is anyone else going....Clay, Greg, Nathan...any of the other San Antonio L's?

Wish I could get away tonight and join you. My truck has spent lots of time on a race track but NEVER a drag strip. With stock tires in my 99 L I could never get below 2 seconds on short time or 13.2 in the 1/4 (at San Antonio Raceway). The 03 has many more mods and at 435/515 and Toyo tires I'm sure I would have hell hooking up. Maybe I will get a break and see you all there tonight.

I'm still dumbfounded on the slicks biting while heating them up on 3rd run, made for a few laughs for some guys watching. (rear of the truck bouncing up and down). I'm still working on them though, trying to get used to them. (Mods- 3lb, FTVB, T-Bars, SCT, Hoosiers, Muffler)

It was nice to meet you too TXSVTLIGHTNING. Your truck was bouncing pretty good but it was running strong and you still clicked off some very nice runs. I finally broke into the 12's. I ran a 12.99 @ 105 with a 2.01 60' on F1's. Looks like it's time for a drive shaft loop, traction bars and slicks. Maybe with a little practice I could click off a 12.7x.
