? 4 JLP forced air intake users

Ok here is the deal and this one has not been covered in my search so I will hit you JL forced air intake users.
I currently have a AF1 intake tube and open filter. I am thinking about going with a JL forced air intake system since I think I will get more positive results then my current open element.
I was curious about some sizing since I would like to keep my AF1 intake tube which is about 10-10 1/2" long(nice polished look)from my TB and my AF1 filter is 14" from were the M.A.F connects to the filter.
Do you all think the JL box will fit properly(to long/short)as far as going to the hole in the fenderwell, etc. So I guess Im wondering mainly how long your LF filter boxes are from were the MAF connects? Anyone using the AF1 intake tube to there? I guess an option is to trim down the AF1 tube if its to long. I guess being to long is better then to short. At least that is what she said,he,he.
Seems like the way to go but I would hope that buying the kit will be enough witout having to pay for a new intake tube and i am not reusing the stock one.
Feedback, pics or whatever would help. I do not think anyone would disagree about wanting to go from the open element to the JLP forced air induction kit though.
Thanks all.

I got a better Idea, CHECK THIS OUT and it is much cheaper too. You could also modify it so you can run a tube to the front of your bumper like JL's box. If you need help or any more question I will try to help you out.
