How much clearance with 58" bars?

Got my new u bolts from JLP on Monday I can put on my 58" tractions bars, and my FRPP lowering kit. Just curious as to how much clearance I will have. And for those with lowered L's, what usally scrapes first?

Thanks,

- Dave

I have a 1"-3" drop and only have about 1/2 inch clearance for my exhaust, I am running a MAC catback. The front brackets are maybe 5" from the ground.. Very close, sometimes I forget and they scrape on driveways....BE CAREFUL.... ....JR

here is a photo of my set up, JDM's shop did the set up for me.

Gen2 exhaust, (magnaflows) correctly angled exit to give me about 2" clearance between bars.
* my truck is lowered 2" also and never any problems.

I can relate

58" JDM Bars, stock suspension, stock exhaust, 2" shackle drop,
AND CLUNK CLUNK CLUNK ALL DAY )$^@)$@^%)$%@$

I've moved the Clamps, jacked the truck up on the Pipes
tourched and bent the hangers, but still CLUNK CLUNK CLUNK
$@^$)*&@^%$)&@%$)@%$(@$%(@$

1.6 60ft EVERY TIME THOUGH
LOVE THE BARS, HATE THE CLUNK...........

has nothing to do with who's bars for my problem,
with stock exhaust I think lots have problems,
no bottoming out for me though, NEVER, not once

If you have stock exhaust Dave let me know, I'll post some pic's,
you'll have to dremel off the factory clamp holders, and
turn the clamps @ 180 degrees, but it'll still CLUNK if you
don't do something about getting the tips up in the air higher

Damn I know I'm gonna have to be more careful!

Thanks for the posts

The other day I pulled up to Target and jumped out of the truck. Walking backward (as always to admire my truck) I saw something not looking right. I ran back and saw that I pinned my JLP cat litter scooper on top of the concrete parking block

At least it bends back. I can hardly wait for the bars to hit, cause I'll probably lock up my breaks and get rear-ended.

Rob I have the magnaflow cat back so I'll be ok. Thinking about selling the high flow cats and getting an off-road pipe. That way I'll never hear anything scrape!

Rob, post pics please! I want bars this winter and want an idea of where they sit stock w/ 2" shackles before I set the truck down on a 1/3 drop.

The minute I put them on

Notice the little piece of steel that overpasses the Clamp,
that needs to be dremel-ed off (takes two seconds)

(sorry old camera and blurry)
here is about the sam angle shot,
you'll notice the overpass is gone, and I have turned the
clamps

That little scap you see is a HUGE GASH, you wouldn't believe
how deep it is.............

here you see there is now a little room at least between
the two. Actually on a hwy or smooth road IT WILL NEVER HIT,
but around town driving and the crappy roads has them Clunking
away constantly it seems

Note to self: Do more parkway driving.....................

again the day I put them on, if you look closely, you can
see "on the other side", the pipes are actually laying on top
of the bars, (no light in between)

As seen here too

rob,

get an aftermarket cat-back, and you will have plenty of clearance
