Aluminum driveshaft, will it make a difference?

So, does anyone know if this will make a difference?

Since I was going to put on my traction bars I figured I would just go ahead and do this also.

I know it's not as strong as the stock steel one (99'-00') but it ways allot less.

So, what do you guy's think?

Let me know,

I thought about it at one point too....but I decided to keep the steel shaft on.... when I weighed out the money vs. time vs. gains...it didnt really pan out for me....throw a DS loop on there if you want to do something constructive.....but as far as the DS ...I would spend the money elsewhere personally...but thats just me

How much lighter are they? Less rotating mass = more power to the rear wheels. I would guess you're looking at 2-4 hp gain. I haven't seen any any dyno results on this mod on a lightning, just what I've seen on other vehicles.
