If your going WOT I'd suggest switching it at about the 60F mark.

Yep, JDM told me 60F. I guess technically it depends on exactly what your tune is but the tuners all probably have around 60 in mind.

If you don't do WOT blasts, the computer should correct
just fine for the colder air ... Isn't that what a MAF is for?

I never understood "wasting" a tune on valuable chip
for a "winter" tune if you're never gonna use the fuel
tables.

Am I missing something?

my truck goes WOT at least everytime I take it out, unless of course its raining/snowing.

Or run high octane 110+ for short burst. Blowing plugs result in 30 degree weather and 93 octane at 18 degrees timing.

So most of the risk comes from higher boost at higher timing right? So if you normally run like a 6# at 18 degrees in summer then if you bump down to a 4# and 16 degress during the winter should you be ok?
Or is it the fuel mixture? Doesn't the open loop normally add fuel for the cooler/denser air? Should you add more fuel to the closed loop during the winter also?
