Talking My Trip To P.S.P.

Hey guys just got home and wanted to share my experience today. I spent most of the day at PSP getting some tuning done. Sal was great to hang out with for the day and we made some Great new numbers.

My first run on the Dyno was on my old chip that came w/ the truck and produced 375rwhp and 460rwtq. This is the tune that I went 12.68 @ 107 on.

After pulling the old chip out, Sal made a program of his own, and we were able to net numbers of 388rwhp and 455rwtq SAE. These Numbers are on 93octane, with 18degrees of timing and an 11.8 a/f.

Then came the fun time. I just installed an NX nitrous kit, pilled for a 75shot, with the great help of our very own Nitrous Ronbo. It took us 2 saturdays to complete, but we did a very clean install, that I'll show pictures of later on. On the Dyno, Sal stepped on it with the spray and my numbers climbed to 446rwhp and 556rwtq SAE. As with the boost only tune this is set up for 93octane, with 14degrees of timing and an 11.4 a/f.

All in all I'm very happy with these numbers and my next trip to the track I'm hoping for an 11.999999. I want to Thank Rob, for spending 2saturdays and alot of his electrical wires and butt connectors to help me install this kit. Tom(halflife) for stay out with me till 930pm last night changing my plugs to make me running today even a possibility. And last but not Least Sal, for his awesome tuning.

Btw my power mods are as follows:

2# lower Pulley.
Accufab SBTB
JLP Ram Air
Anderson Ford Power Pipe
NX 75 Shot

I cant wait till JDM day in November so I can maybe get my new numbers, that is if I'm still invited LOL. And for those curious these are my STD numbers

Incredible!

that has to be one of the flatest A/F "curves" I've ever seen!

Sal is a great tuner, but just listening to him talk, there isn't anything he doesn't know about these trucks. Hell, He'll forget more about these trucks than I'll ever know.

yeah......Sals the man....I cant believe how flat he got it on just the first pull. He def knows what these trucks like and how to get them there. I also left a lil bit of power on the table, in exchange for being a lil extra safe.

I did the same thing, rather be slightly slower and safe than the alternative.

Great numbers! Not bashing but it would be nice if he could do the same for me after waiting for three weeks for two tunes. I understand he has been out of town and doing dyno days everywhere but unfortunately that does make me anymore patient. Awesome numbers though!

WOO HOO, NITROUS JOSH IN DA HOUSE

CONGRATS AGAIN BUDDY, VERY IMPRESSIVE RESULTS INDEED.

YOUR WELCOME for the help, I enjoyed every minute
(now buy me some dam wire you hump, for all of mine we used)
hehehehehehe....

I also agree on the safety vs squeeze every ounch out of it.
Ok I may be at a pretty dangerous level myself these days,
but thats why I'm currently leaving my tune like this,
unbelievable rich, and lots of power and torque dropping off
at the end of 3rd gear. (hopefully it'll be enough to keep it together for the extra 25 HP jets I'll be running in a few weeks.

BEST OF LUCK JOSH AND CONGRATS..........

Oh BTW, Josh has all of the Dyno session on Film, I saw it yesterday, it's great. I wish I filmed mine

The truck sounded amazing and pulled hard run after run,
hope to see some of that up on the net to watch.
(He stopped over yesterday after Sal's to finish wiring the Heater)

(BTW Josh, you can upload them to our Video section at LightningRodder.Com and then link it to this post

No thats not a tasteless plug, you haven't ONCE heard me plug the place, and I'm site Moderator. Just letting him know he has a place to post a Vid so he can link it to ANYWHERE he wants

F-150 will always be my #1 L Forum, thats where I met all of you, and learned EVERYTHING about my Beast, and I will always be here as long as I have the Beast (sometimes I think thats one of the main reasons I keep it)

oh man, be careful, with the cooler weather and your stock block with a bigger shot could equal trouble.

LMAO Rob.....o.k. o.k. o.k.....next time I'm out there we go to Autozone and I'll pick you up another roll of wire. You truly are the man, and again I cant thank you enough for all your help with it. I cant even believe I have that kinda power now on tap...Last night just as I was leaving, when I got to CR83 a guy in a vette does a ricer past me, when we get next to eachother at the light, I purged at him, and he didnt do anything after that...it was hysterical...

WOW, those STD's numbers w/o the spray are exactly my numbers except i'm running a 4lb lower with a Apten port!

I've got an email for a tune request into Sal last month but it looks like he's pretty busy.
Must get new tune!!
